Brief

BB Studio had gained many insights from developing haptics within costume integrated with VR. We had wanted to move further and further away from the zap. We had requests from users saying that not only did they want to see the costume literally in the VR, but when they saw someone wearing it, they wanted the person to touch it.

Creative

In response to showing VR-costume-haptics to thousands of people, BB Studio wanted to show touch. These insights led BB Studio to create a garment which moved around the body of the person wearing it while they watched an interactive VR scene which had rendered images of a full collection made by BB Studio in real life. The costumes disrupted the expected physics of the world around and the person filled in the gaps creating their own agency in their multi-sensory stories. Notably, the costumes were made from BB Studio's own prints onto organic cotton.
