A night dedicated to the cornucopia of sensory practice in London.
The Open Senses Symposium brings together an interdisciplinary collection of practitioners and artists exploring sensory practice. The event offers stalls, panel discussions, pop-up talks and experiences all curated to unfold throughout the day.
It will showcase the breadth of sensory practice in London and include practitioners worldwide. The content will challenge, demonstrate and interrogate how sensory practice is capable of building greater connection to the world, our environment, the people around us and ourselves.
The evening showcases work in academia, inclusive practice, scent, food, medicine, theatre, music, law, restaurants, typography, dance … and more

Workshop will include
- introductory lectures about space influencing fashion ideas
- speculating and brainstorming the design possibilities
- references to science fiction fashion in popular culture particularly film
- guidance on illustrations designing a fashion future garment or accessory
Please note within this 3 hour introductory course there will be no production of garments or electronics, however we can give guidance on next steps. 5 - 10 students only.

Come and draw sculptural upcycled cyber robot by Vincent C. J. Jö - Nés and science fiction garments by Bushra Burge Studio.
There will be printed paper for colouring in by the younger children as well as plain paper for drawing and colouring pencils.
VR, AR demonstrations and talks deconstructing the virtual and reality for mums and dads.
Vincent C. J. Jö - Nés is the original cyber artist who has exhibited at the Tate Modern Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Science & Industry, Harrods of London and International Events. A.K.A. ‘ The Art of Recycling Technology’. His art is now on exhibit in London at Camden’s ‘CYBER Market Hall’.

#Hackstock was born out of Digital Shoreditch to celebrate the 'HACKERS' film in 2015. It was the worlds first live VR music experience bringing together communities from VR, 3D printing and other various immersive arts. It partnered with SCI-FI-LONDON in 2016 to bring in different communities to embrace what science fiction and psychedelia can bring to new technologies.
Bushra Burge is an artist-designer. She will be showcasing experiential sci-fi through fashion forms and immersive technology. Her recent projects include Alienascent and Dark Matter Dark Energy V1.2.
